Send a test puts a notification in your own bell and pops it up on every device where you’ve turned alerts on. Use it after turning on alerts, or when you think notifications have stopped. Anyone can send themselves a test; nobody else receives it.

Sending a test

1

Open your notification settings

Go to Settings → Notifications, or click the NextLevel MCA bell in your CRM header and then Preferences.
2

Click Send a test

It’s under Pop-up alerts, next to Turn on or Turn off.
3

Check the result

A message tells you where the test went:
  • Test sent. A pop-up should appear in a few seconds, and it is in your bell. You have alerts on for at least one device.
  • Test sent to your bell. Turn on pop-up alerts to get it on this computer too. You don’t have alerts on anywhere yet. See Desktop notifications.

What you’ll see

The test is titled Test notification and says Alerts are working. Lender replies, merchant activity and deal changes will show up like this. It shows in the bell as unread, and clicking it opens the Notifications page.

What happens next

  • The pop-up goes to every computer and phone where you’ve turned alerts on, not only the one you’re using.
  • The test ignores your per-event Push and Email switches. It never sends an email.
  • It doesn’t involve any deal, and nobody else is notified.

Common problems

Check Pop-up alerts reads On for this browser. If it does, your computer’s notification settings or a Do Not Disturb or Focus mode may be hiding it. See Desktop notifications.
Refresh the page and open the bell again. If it’s still missing, get help.
Real notifications only come for deals where you’re the originator or closer (or every deal, if you’re an admin or manager and turned that on), and never for things you did yourself. Push and email also follow your switches. See Notification preferences.
You’re signed in with a NextLevel MCA staff account that isn’t a user in this workspace. Add yourself under Settings → Team first.
Try again in a moment. If it keeps failing, get help.
