A lender is recommended for a deal when it passes every yes/no rule, has criteria set, and its match score is at or above your workspace’s Lender recommendation threshold. The threshold is one number for the whole workspace. It starts at 75.
Admins can change it. Other team members need the View Settings and Manage Fields permissions to save workspace preferences.

Change the threshold

1

Open Settings → General → Preferences

The threshold is in the Defaults section.
2

Enter a number from 0 to 100 in Lender recommendation threshold

For example 50 to see more lenders, or 85 to be strict.
3

Click Save

The change applies to every user in the workspace the next time lenders are ranked on a deal. Click Re-match on a deal that’s already open.

What it changes

  • The gold star (Recommended) and the Ranked list on each deal’s Submissions tab.
  • The Auto label, since auto-eligible lenders are recommended lenders with enough data behind them.
  • The “recommended” count on a lender’s Match impact card.
  • The lenders returned as recommended to the NextLevel MCA API, the AI tools and CRM workflow actions that pick recommended lenders.
It doesn’t change any lender’s score, and it never stops you submitting to a lender. Every active lender is always in the All list.

Choosing a number

  • The default of 75 recommends lenders the deal clears on every numeric limit (revenue, time in business, credit score and so on). A lender whose limits the deal misses isn’t recommended.
  • A lower number also recommends lenders the deal only just misses on a limit. Useful if your lenders’ published minimums are soft.
  • A higher number keeps only the strongest fits.
  • A lower number doesn’t bring back disqualified lenders. A lender that fails a yes/no rule (a prohibited state or industry, a product it doesn’t offer, a prior default it doesn’t fund) scores 0 and is never recommended.
  • Lenders with no criteria are never recommended, whatever the threshold.
