The New lender window now starts with what makes a lender usable: its name and Send deals to, the addresses every submission is emailed to. That used to be on the last step, after a contact name and an Email field that people often filled in with the submission address instead.
  • Your rep at this lender is optional and tucked away, and says what it’s for: your emails can greet them by name, you can copy them, and their replies land on the right deal. Deals never go to the rep’s address.
  • Saving without an address warns you that deals can’t be emailed to the lender yet, and the lender list marks such lenders No submission email.
  • Replies from anyone at the lender’s domain now match the lender even when no rep is set. Personal addresses such as Gmail still need to match exactly.
Contract requests reply in the submission thread. The request goes from the mailbox that sent the deal, to the same addresses, as a reply with the submission’s subject, so it lands in the same conversation in both inboxes. Before, it went out as a separate email, often to the rep’s address.Copy the lender’s rep. Submit to lenders and Request contracts both have a box to CC the rep, when the lender has one.
