Every bank statement on a deal gets a watermarked copy for lenders, and you can now choose how that watermark looks. Go to Settings → General → Branding → Statement watermark:
  • Mark: your logo, your business name, or your own text such as CONFIDENTIAL.
  • Layout: one mark in the middle of the page, or repeated across it.
  • Size (small, medium, large), strength (light, normal, strong) and angle (diagonal or straight).
A live preview shows the style on a sample statement as you change it. New statements use the style you save. To update the statements already on your deals, click Redo existing copies: it re-watermarks the statements on open deals in the background and leaves funded and closed deals alone. Your original statements are never changed. The watermark itself is better too:
  • Centred and sized to the page. Logos sit in the middle of the page instead of low and to the right, and the empty margins around a logo are trimmed so it shows at a useful size. Long business names shrink to fit instead of running off the page.
  • Chase statements are watermarked. Statements locked against editing, which includes every Chase statement, used to go out without a watermark. They now get one, and the statement text stays intact.
  • Merchant portal uploads are watermarked, like statements uploaded in the app or on the application form.
  • Submit to lenders shows every statement. A statement without a watermarked copy is listed and marked “no watermark” instead of being hidden, and each statement is ticked once, as its watermarked copy where there is one.
Statements already on your deals that had no watermarked copy now have one.
