# Saved applications and follow-up on unfinished ones

  The online application now saves as the merchant types, so they can close it and pick up where they left off. Once they've entered a name and an email or phone, they're added to your CRM as a contact tagged **Application started** and assigned to the rep whose link they used. If they stop for 30 minutes, the contact is tagged **Application abandoned** and the **Application Abandoned** workflow trigger fires, with a link that reopens their application, so your CRM can follow up. When they submit, the tags switch to **Application submitted**. See [Unfinished applications](/help/abandoned-applications).
