# DataMerch

  DataMerch is the industry's shared record of merchant history: defaults, slow pays, stacking and other notes filed by funders. Connect your own DataMerch account under **Settings → Integrations** and every deal's **Underwrite** tab gets a DataMerch card that looks the business up by the EIN on file (or by legal name when there is no EIN) and shows each note with its category and date. With **Check every new deal automatically** on, the check runs as deals arrive.

  Credentials are stored encrypted and never shown again. Lookups run on your DataMerch account.
